We swapped the motor for a LiftMaster unit, reprogrammed all six remotes for the residents, and realigned the safety sensors. Nobody’s had to get out of the car to open the door since.

A tree branch took out part of the upper panel during a winter storm, and the force of the impact yanked the right-side lift cable halfway off its drum. The important thing here was matching the panel color and finish, which took a phone call to the manufacturer and a few days of patience. You can’t tell which panel was replaced.

The door was sitting crooked in the opening, and the bottom corner was grinding against the concrete. The door now runs with less effort than it did before the accident.
